Spirit of the Verse

Children, this is the verse spoken by Dhruva.Little Dhruva, while performing penance in the forest, devotedly called upon Lord Narayana. When Narayana appeared before him, Dhruva, overwhelmed with devotion, stammered —“O Narayana! I am just a small boy. I do not have the words to describe You!”

Then Lord Narayana smiled lovingly and gently touched Dhruva’s cheek with His divine hand. Instantly, Dhruva’s speech became divine — words of wisdom and praise flowed effortlessly from his mouth, glorifying the Lord’s greatness.

These were the words Dhruva spoke:“O Father! You have entered within me,awakened my dormant speech, filled my whole body with divine brilliance, and made me speak so beautifully!”
