विपद: सन्तु ता: शश्वत्तत्र तत्र जगद्गुरो ।
भवतो दर्शनं यत्स्यादपुनर्भवदर्शनम् ॥ २५ ॥
vipadaḥ santu tāḥ śaśvat tatra tatra jagad-guro
bhavato darśanaṁ yat syād apunar bhava-darśanam ॥ 1.8.25 ॥

1. Settling In
Sit comfortably.Close your eyes.Let your breath fall into a natural rhythm.
Feel the ground beneath you —steady, unmoving, dependable.
Let this steadiness remind you:Within you too, there is a place that does not shake.
2. Acknowledging the Storms
Now, gently bring to mind any challenge in your life right now —a worry, a loss, a tension, a fear.
Do not push it away. Do not judge it.Just observe it like a cloud passing through the sky of your awareness.
Say in your heart:
“This, too, is a part of my journey.”
3. Kuntī’s Insight
Now imagine hearing Kuntī Devi’s courageous prayer:
“Let difficulties come again and again,if through them I can see You.”
Let this line sink into you —not as a call to invite suffering, but as a reminder of spiritual truth:
Every storm carries a message.Every loss reveals a deeper treasure.Every shaking brings you closer to the center that cannot be shaken.
4. Meeting the Divine in Adversity
Visualize your challenge again. But this time, imagine a soft light behind it —a presence, a quiet intelligence, guiding the storm, not to break you,but to awaken you.
Imagine that light saying:
“I am here.Even in this.Especially in this.”
Feel how the presence transforms the fear into clarity.Feel how the heaviness becomes lighterwhen you stop resistingand start understanding.
5. Embracing Growth
Now whisper inwardly:
“In losing what is temporary,I gain what is eternal.”
Let the words settle.
Feel how your heart opensto the possibility that what looks like lossmay actually be renewal.
That what looks like chaosmay actually be cleansing.
That what looks like collapsemay actually be rebirth.
6. Courage of the Soul
Bring your awareness to your heart.
Imagine a flame there —steady, bright, undisturbed by wind.
This flame is your ātman.Your original self.Unborn. Undying.Witnessing many bodies, many lifetimes, just as one person wears many garments.
Say softly within:
“Storms may come.Waves may rise. But my inner flame remains.”
7. Returning
Take a slow breath in.Feel strength entering you.Exhale softly.Feel fear leaving you.
When you are ready, open your eyes.
Carry with you this understanding:
**Every material storm is a spiritual wind
pushing you farther along the cosmic journey. You do not move backward. You only rise.**
